Running ESEUTIL to Defrag Priv.edb and recover Gained space

by "zaw" <threewise@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 21, 2007 at 10:01 PM

Our store has reached the 16GB limit. I had users delete filesd and
believe
I have about 4 to 5 GB of space
to reclaim after running the ESEUTIL to defrag and shrink the priv. I
have
never done this, been doing my
research, however, I would appreciate some input on my plan.

1. I don't have 110% space avaiable on drive that info store's is
currently
located on.
2. I think I need to run the eseutil with the /t switch to move to drive
with enough space to allow defrag of db.
3. I want to defrag the priv and keep it in the same location is currently

resides, just hopefully 4 to 5 GB smaller
    after the procedure.

current path of priv1.edb is d:\program files\exchsrvr\mdbdata\priv1.edb &

..stm

e: drive has plenty of space.

This is my planned syntax;

from d:\program files\exchsrvr\bin\ "eseutil /d d:\program
files\exchsrvr\mdbdata\priv1.edb /t e:\priv1.edb"

Can someone comment on my plan and syntax?

Thank you,

Andrew
