I have a customer who's inbox e-mail is disappearing from
her inbox. One at a time as they come in and she had
dozens at one time and they all ended up disappearing. I
have check the typical causes of this problem and found
nothing. No pst in mail profile on any machines that she
logs onto. No other user logged in to her account at the
same time. No rules whatsoever setup on any of the
machines she logs onto or on the Exchange server itself.
No limits on storage. Mail cannot be found anywhere
after it disappears. The network is very protected with
TrendMicro Antivirus products. Running ScanMail 6.2 on
exch 2000 server. Also running OfficeScan on
workstations and Serverprotect on server. Only one user
being effected out of 23. Happens on multiple machines
that she logs onto. Created a "parallel" user and had
all mail automatically forwarded to the parallel user as
well as original user. The mail in the inbox of the
parallel user does not disappear, but it always
disappears out of the inbox of the original user. The
autoforwarding seems to work great tem****arily. Any
ideas on what could be causing this ?
