CMS 2002 and Visual Studio 2005 / 2008

Hi,

At the moment, we run CMS 2002 , and develop using VS 2003.  Is it
possible 
to use VS2005 or better still VS 2008 to develop with, and are they 
compatible with CMS 2002, i.e. do we get the MCMS options of creating 
templates/galleries etc within the studio environment?

If they are, are there any pre-requisites needed?

Any help would be much appreciated,
