Moving Resources Around

I have an image rotator control that I modified (thanks Stefan for the base

code).  Anyway, at some pointin time, we will want to move some of these
to a 
backup template gallery in CMS.  So that only the new images are used.

Is it possible to do this?  Casn someone send me C# code example on how to

move a resource(s) from one gallery to the next?

If it is possible, do all existing pages and prior postings update to the 
revised resource location automatically?  Or is there something special I 
have to do?
