We have a problem here with client project that are larger than the servers
disk space capacity. They are running VS 2008 and the projects are
automatically saved to a folder in their My Do***ents. We investigated
and
there is a folder called Personal in the Internet Explorer shell ****tion
of
the registry which SBS alters to force their project to appear in the SBS
volume shadow. We tried altering the registry entry so that it wouldn't
point to the server and we tried moving the directory to another folder,
we
tried resetting the folder options in the vs 2008. What it boils down to
is
that SBS appears to insist that all the new project are shadow copied to
the
server.
Any ideas on how to turn off the volume shadowing in SBS 2003 R2?
