Sharepoint Install Issue

by =?Utf-8?B?U3RldmVN?= <SteveM@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 17, 2008 at 11:13 AM

Greetings,

Just installed SBS 2003 Premium R2 on a new server. I installed the SQL
2005
pack, and now am attempting to install SharePoint Server. I want
SharePoint
to use SQL 2005, but the installation makes no allowances for it, and
forces
me to install MSDE2000.

What is the trick to actually having some control over the installation
criteria? (I tried installing SharePoint directly from Disk 4, but it
tells
me it cannot determine the SQL version installed..)

TIA,
Steve
