\tab One obstacle that I overcame would have to be getting my GED. I =
never thought
 that I was going to pass the 5 GED tests. Before I took the cl***** to =
get ready
 to take the GED tests I dropped out of the beginning of the 9{\super =
th} grade=20
so that I could get home schooled from the age of 14 until the age of 16 =
which would
 be the high school grades of 9 and 10. Then I began to search for a =
place where
 I could get cl***** to get ready to take the GED test until I found =
one. \tab\par

\pard\nowidctlpar\nooverflow\sl240\slmult1{\f0\lang1033\fs24\kerning28\ta=
b When=20
I turned 16 I decided to come to SFCC to get enrolled into the GED =
cl*****. After
 about 5 months of taking the cl***** my teacher, Nonnine, had told me =
that I was
 ready to take the writing test. She had explained to me that I did not =
have anything
 to worry about and that I was going to pass the test. At first I was =
very nervous
 because I was sure that I was not going to pass.\tab\par}

\pard\nowidctlpar\nooverflow\sl240\slmult1{\f0\lang1033\fs24\kerning28\ta=
b A few
 days passed and it was time to take the test. I thought that there were =
going to
 be only a few people at the testing center, but I was wrong there were =
actually
 about 15 people. They were all waiting at 8 in the morning just to sign =
up for=20
different tests on that day. Almost all of them signed up for 2 cl*****. =
I thought
 to myself \u8220\'93I wouldn\u8217\'92t be able to take more than one =
test in one
 day\u8221\'94. The writing test was at 3 that afternoon.\tab\par}

\pard\nowidctlpar\nooverflow\sl240\slmult1{\f0\lang1033\fs24\kerning28\ta=
b When=20
I went back that afternoon I went in the testing room and sat down =
calmly. I remember
 that it was fresh in the room and not one single person was making a =
sound. Then
 the instructor came in the door and explained to us how we were timed =
and how to
 fill the form that she had passed out to us while she was talking. =
After I saw=20
the test I started to feel better because I noticed that it was going to =
be easy
 for me. \par}

\pard\nowidctlpar\nooverflow\sl240\slmult1{\f0\lang1033\fs24\kerning28\ta=
b After
 I was done with the test I went back to the GED cl***** the next day =
and I told
 Nonnine that it was actually an easy test. I began to take the rest of =
the GED=20
tests one week after another until I was finished with all of them. I =
then waited
 about 2 weeks to get my results through the mail. When I had them in my =
hands I
 was very nervous to open up the envelope and see what my results were. =
So I waited
 to get home to see my results with my mom. I opened the envelope and I =
couldn\u8217
\'92t believe my what my eyes had seen. I had actually passed all of the =
5 tests
.. When I showed my teacher she was really happy for me. I =
would\u8217\'92ve never
 made it to the point where I am now without her help.}}
