Prompted for info on a query that was deleted/renamed long ago.

This will be difficult to explain but sometimes I'm prompted for info on a
query that I renamed hours ago.
scenerio: I develop a query called query1. Everything looks great. I
rename the query1 to newquery. I use newquery to further group. I write
a
new query (call it reallynewquery) that uses the query newquery. When I
go
to run the reallynewquery the stupid deal askes me for a value in a field
in
the query called query1. I simply ignore the request by not entering a
data
piece and the reallynewquery runs as expected.
I repair and compact but the phantom request for the info on the renamed
query comes back.
My problem is not repeatable in that there doesn't seem to be a sequence
of
keystrokes that will 100% of the time cause this behavior.
I'm an idiot self taught hacker with poor planning skills I know. Does
anyone else out there get this type of deal? Is there a utility or
something
I can run to clean up this type thing?
