"insufficient key column information for updating or refre****ng" when updating drop down list.

I receive this message:

"insufficient key column information for updating or refre****ng"

When changing the drop down list; therefore my tables are not updating at 
all, Explorer does not let me out of the record unless I choose to close 
without saving the changes.

Is there any way to fix this issue?
