synchronize two drop-down lists

I have applied code provided from the sup****t page listed here 
ACC2000: How to Synchronize Two Drop-down Lists on a Data Access

and receive error "The "SubAreas" object can not be found." 
at step #17 MSODSC.RecordsetDefs.Item ("SubAreas").ServerFilter = ""

Can someone please tell me what I need to do to correct this error? I'm
new 
to DAP's and code involved.
