Please help

by "jive_55" <webforumsuser@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Aug 7, 2008 at 06:26 PM

Hello
I am attempting to update a site that I did not create and I am new to
Dreamweaver. I downloaded the files from the server using the GET feature
in
Dreamweaver CS3. I downloaded, installed, and tested a testing server
using
XAMPP. The XAMPP Control Panel Application screen says that the Apache and

MySql are running. I placed the folder containing the downloaded site
files
into the htdocs folder of the testing server. The site contains PHP files
so I
think I am using the correct testing server. I defined a new site in DW
selecting use server technology (PHP MySQL) and told it where the site
files
are located. In the design view I can see the home page as it should
appear,
but when I preview in IExplorer none of the graphics appear and only some
of
the text appears. At the top and bottom of the page the following phrase
appears: [an error occurred while processing this directive]. I must be
doing
something wrong. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
