Hello!
If you want to run spamassassin standalone installation, install
spamassasin packages and then in your master.cf you specify this:
smtp inet n - - - - smtpd -o
content_filter=spamassassin:
spamassassin unix - n n - - pipe
user=spamassassin argv=/usr/bin/spamc -e
/usr/sbin/sendmail -oi -f ${sender} {recipient}
smtp service will run content filer with spamc.
Make sure you have spamd daemon running.
I have the following packages installed:
spamassassin 3.1.7-2
Perl-based spam filter using text analysis
spamc 3.1.7-2
Client for SpamAssassin spam filtering daemo
And spamd running (see /etc/default/spamassassin for enable the service).
Email me for more information if you not get it running.
/Best Regards
